having good striking i think is really important, but i think knowing how to defend urself and take it to the ground is really good too. The way i look at fighting is whoever has the ground game is gunna win, and if u do bjj ur ground game is gunna be amazing.
i take the fact that having good stikes is helpfulL, but I’ve been goin to ju-jitsu sessions now for 2 and a bit years and one of the first things we did was defence from a hook/jab and various different srikes. So to go against a person who has an understanding of ju-jitsu or any martial art and thinking if i hit him in the right place he’ll go down, cos if he’s fit enough he’ll still be there after the hit and then it’ll be you on ur arse.Trust me, I know lol. But i get where ur coming from
@MrJuanism how do u know its so unlikely? im not comin at u aggressivly but come on… a shot to the diaphram can easily take out 1 guy… followed by a hook can be devistating. if u know where to hit and know how to block, ur practicly invincible. just look at boxing, they teach u that a combination of body shots is better than a nice hit to the face. comment back, but dont try to come at me foul again, it makes u look like a douch and proves nothing but your words per minute.

@jaredminicooper krav actually teaches u to take out multiple enemies 1 at a time, for example, 5 guys vs you… keep moving in any direction till u catch 1 in reach, take him out. repeat but use this guy as a shield against another guy than throw him away. and keep dodging, blocking, and counter striking until they give in, or all are unable to fight. and for those who dont know what it is: its weapons defense and hand to hand combat. pretty damn cool 2
it just claims, plus Krav maga is more of a Self-Defense system than a Martial art.

actually gracie jiu jitsu will tell you that no style can defend against multiple attackers and if they tell you differently theyre probably lying. my coach always says when faced with multiple attackers, especially more than two, you probably deserve to get your ass beat down. your best chance at that point is to try and reason with the group and tell them youll fight the biggest guy 1 on 1 and hope they go for it
That is the downfall of MMA and gracie-based ju jitsu, they ignore being attacked by more than one person when on the ground. Otherwise is good application of skill when hands on.
